2nd TPM, Milan (Italy), 17-18th September 2024

For Drones4STEM Project it’s time to get to the hart! The second TPM, which took place in Milan in the presence of all the partners, was an opportunity to check the progress in the implementation of the activities and to establish the next steps that will lead to: a Training event for teachers in Ljubljana next December and to the launch of a training platform at the beginning of 2025.

The meeting allowed the partners to outline the structure of the 3 case studies that will refer to the pilots planned in the different countries: Smart Farming; Environmental Monitoring; Environmental restoration. In October, a webinar will be organized for secondary school teachers to show the importance of using devices, such as small drones, for teaching, in particular STEM. News about the event will follow soon on our social networks!

Training of Trainers in Ljubljana

During the 17th and 19th of December, the Drones4STEM partners gathered in Ljubljana for an exciting training activity organised in the premises of SIC Ljubljana, in collaboration with the Hellenic Open University. The first day was dedicated to the presentation of the training modules for teachers on the use of drone technology in STEM subjects. Participants had the opportunity to register in the e-training, navigate the course and give feedback to the developers. During the second day, participants attended a hands-on workshop for the programming of the drones and testing the functionalities of the Use Cases for Smart Farming, Environmental Monitoring and Environmental Restoration. On the 19th of December, partners gathered again to evaluate the results from the training, discuss improvements and modifications, and outline the next steps towards the finalization of the materials to ensure the pilot process can be delivered effectively.
